Kwara State University Microfinance Bank (“KWASU MFB LTD”) commenced operation on November, 17, 2015. It was formed out of partnership in which private sector Investors and the Kwara State University intend to provide financial services to the low-income, micro and small Enterprises in Malete, Kwara North, and the whole State in general by supporting economic activities particularly in the Agriculture, Agro-Allied, Production, Processing, Manufacturing, Trading and Services Sectors of the local economy, thus filling the gaps that currently exist in financial services, delivery to the underserved markets.

The company was incorporated on September 16, 2014.

KWASU MFB LTD has challenged the market environment by introducing new products, innovative technology and setting new benchmarks.

KWASU MFB LTD is pursuing the business of banking services to MSMEs, micro fund users, low income earners and the less privileged within the university community and Kwara State as a whole.

The scope

The scope of our activities determines the nature of our various products.
However, our activities shall covers primarily; Acceptance of deposit in all forms, Non interest banking, Creation of all permissible credit facilities to stimulates economic activities of our immediate environment, Investment in viable projects like asset financing, Real estate, engage in consultancy services to intending entrepreneurs, and directly involvement in trading activities within the confine and limitation of our memorandum and article of association.
